When somebody dies at home, call their nearest relative and the person’s doctor and inform them. When someone is expected to die in the near future, for example due to a terminal illness, most doctors will issue a medical certificate with the cause of death.
A medical certificate will be needed to register the death with the Register Office.
Once the death certificate is issued, it will be sent to you.
When you’re ready, you can contact a funeral director to arrange a cremation.
