At Capital Cremations, we pride ourselves on providing an affordable and professional cremation service. We understand that this can be a difficult time, which is why we offer a simple and stress-free service.

Our prices start at just £830 for direct cremation, so you can rest assured that this will not break the bank. We also provide an affordable range of funeral packages, exclusive to Capital Cremations. With options to suit every budget, you are sure to find one that meets your needs.

The service

The cremation service can be religious or non-religious, or you may choose to have no service at all.

Any service that takes place must be carried out within the time allowed for each funeral and not impact on the funeral before or after. The duration of the service varies between crematoria but is usually 20 minutes, which allows time for people to enter the chapel, hold the service and leave. If you feel you will need a longer period of time, it is possible to book the following service time for an additional charge.

If you prefer, you can hold a service in a separate place, like a church, followed by a ceremony at the crematorium. You can arrange for your own minister to carry out the service or your funeral director can help you find a suitable person.

The end of the service is known as the committal. During the committal the coffin is usually hidden from view by curtains or taken out of the chapel. If you are arranging a funeral and would prefer the coffin to remain on view until everyone has left, your funeral director can arrange that for you.

When the service is over, the funeral director leads close family out of the chapel, followed by the other mourners. You will have an opportunity to look at the floral tributes and the family will have time to thank people for coming.

What is a cremation?

What is a cremation?

A cremation is the process of burning a dead body, and is most often used as an alternative to burial. The ashes that are left after a cremation can be scattered, buried, or kept in an urn.

Cremations are becoming increasingly popular in the UK, as they are seen as a more affordable and eco-friendly option than traditional burials. They also take up less space, making them a good choice for urban areas.

If you are thinking of having a cremation for your loved one, there are a few things you need to know. Firstly, not all crematoriums offer direct cremations – this is where the body is cremated without any funeral service or ceremony. You will need to check with your chosen crematorium to see if they offer this service.

The cost of a cremation will vary depending on the crematorium you choose and the type of service you opt for. However, on average, a cremation costs around £800-£1,000. This is significantly cheaper than a traditional burial, which can cost upwards of £3,000.

If you are looking for an affordable cremation service in London, Capital Cremations offers direct cremations from just £830. We are a professional and reliable crematorium with over 15 years of experience. Get your free quote today by calling 020 7100 6074.

What to do after a death

If someone close to you has died, there are a few things you need to do. Firstly, you will need to contact the deceased’s doctor to arrange for the death certificate. You will also need to inform the deceased’s bank, pension provider, and insurance company.

You will then need to make arrangements for the funeral. If the person has expressed a preference for cremation, you will need to choose a crematorium and organise a date and time for the cremation. You can find a list of London’s crematoria here.

If you are looking for an affordable and professional cremation service, Capital Cremations offers direct cremations from just £830. Get your free quote today by calling 020 7100 6074.

The cremation over traditional funeral rate in London has increased significantly over the years as more and more people are preferring this type of funeral over burial. The main reason for this change is demographic – there are now more elderly people who live alone and do not have anyone to take care of their funeral arrangements. As cremation is much cheaper than a traditional funeral, it is becoming more and more popular.

The cremation process is essentially the same as a traditional funeral, but without the body present. The deceased’s ashes are placed in an urn and then either buried or scattered, depending on the wishes of the family. One of the main benefits of cremation is that it takes up much less space than burial, so it is ideal for people who live in small apartments or do not have access to a large cemetery.

There are some environmental concerns associated with cremation – particularly the fact that mercury from dental fillings is released into the atmosphere. However, this can be controlled by using an environmentally friendly cremation process or by recycling the cremated remains in a way that limits the release of mercury.

In modern society, there are many different ways to celebrate someone’s life, which include memorial services and funerals. The type of funeral chosen depends on the wishes of the deceased person (if they kept a will) and their family. A traditional burial is typically more expensive than cremation though; if cost is one of your main concerns when arranging a funeral then you should consider the fact that you can organise an affordable direct cremation through Capital Cremations London service centre – 020 7100 6074 .

What is a direct cremation ?

What is a direct cremation ?

A direct cremation is the simplest and fastest method of funeral. It does not cost anything more than a normal cremation, but you do not get to attend the ceremony. The body is collected from the hospital or home and taken to the crematorium, where it is cremated and the ashes are returned to the family. You can choose to have a memorial service at a later date, if you wish.

Why might someone choose a direct cremation?

There are many reasons why someone might choose a direct cremation. It can be an affordable option, especially for those on a tight budget. It is also a more simple and straightforward process than other types of funeral, which can be reassuring for those who are grieving. For some people, not having to attend the ceremony itself is an advantage.

What happens during a direct cremation?

The body is collected from the hospital or home and taken straight to the crematorium. There is no ceremony or service, and the ashes are usually returned to the family within a few days. You can choose to have a memorial service at a later date, if you wish. When is it too late to choose a direct cremation?

A direct cremation can take place in one of the London Crematoriums at any time before the burial of the deceased. If death occurs outside London and the body is brought into London for cremation, it will be subject to a fee.
